The Things We Love - Bucks County Coffee --- Mistletoe Blend

Bucks County Coffee - Around Christmastime a member of our staff brought in a bag of Mistletoe Blend Coffee from Bucks County Coffee Co. It has been the only coffee brewed at our HQ for months now. We knew that this Christmas coffee wasn't going to last on the store shelves so we stocked up. When I say stocked up, I mean that we had staff members buying by the case. It seemed as though we'd have coffee for years. Sadly this isn't the situation because… Continue

Recession over...

Looks like the Bank of Canada governor Mark Carney has formally announced that the "recession" is over..

http://www.ottawasun.com/news/canada/2009/07/23/10234406.html

What is particularly curious is that Canada has historically relied almost exclusively on traveling in the wake of the Good Ship USA when it comes to economic recovery - this time it appears Canada is determined to right its own ship. It's difficult to say how this news will ultimately impact Canadian… Continue

Branding by Accident

Branding is not dead. How branding is achieved has changed. Interactive marketing can learn lessons from the great pitchmen of our time. In a challenging economy, new answers to the old questions need to be found. Branding is alive and well. Branding is happening all around us. MBAs are taking the back seat to mavericks who really understand the Internet.

Let's give credit to perhaps the greatest maverick in marketing and advertising ever, Billy Mays.A decade ago when Billy Mays… Continue

The new Big 3 in America

I can't recall the last time that I used a Phone Book to find a number or an address. The last time the phone company dropped books off at my house I chuckled to my friend that I was about to tell the phone book throwers that they can keep their book and save a tree because I already have the Internet. I can't remember the last time that I relied on the Newspaper for up to the minute information on local and global events. It has been years since a paper catalog was where I ordered something… Continue

Social Media Strategies That Win

The world is all aflutter about Twitter. Grandma and Grandpa are your Facebook friends. YouTube creates overnight celebrities. Friendster showed us the power of six degrees of separation. Google's Avinash Kaushik says on mediapost.com News this morning, "HITS is an acronym, which stands for "How Idiots Track Success."

Thanks Avinash for getting the word out.I think all the best support companies have been using common sense helping their clients to best utilize their traffic even before Google existed. We all have been helping companies to provide a better client experience and most importantly find what they are looking for.As Avinash says, bounce rate is an important metrics, but we all know that it is just a part of what our clients need to know to be successful, just a few things that would help scratch…See More

Does anyone else feel a shift out there?

I am noticing a distinct get back to work attitude going on for the last couple of weeks. More interest in business, ad spend and a general lifting of the cloud of business paralysis that had hit since the great depression hit last year. It's good to see businesses moving forward and implementing strategies again. I am definitely seeing more buyers in the stores and I know it helped that the president put out his first more positive message about the economy.Lets all help and get back to the…See More

Recession is Good for Retail?

Shoebuy.com said that the average value of a customer has risen in recent months. They have some good ideas why that is. Their situation probably isn't that unique, as we help our own clients we are too helping them be more inventive and innovative in their strategy to earn the business of the people out there who are buying. The truth is that people are buying and the world is moving along. With fewer dollars flowing through retail, it is now more important than ever to have someone like Prime…See More
